Automated M80, United Kingdom Debut at Ipex

February 10, 2014 – Friedheim International Ltd, the MBO distributor in the United Kingdom, will have an automated M80 machine at Ipex 2014 in London. This is the first time that the revolutionary M80 Flexible Folding System will be seen by the UK public. The 4-plate machine on display will be equipped with a cross fold and three fold unit as well as a continuous feeder. Furthermore, the fold plates and fold rollers will be automated for quick job changeovers.

The most notable feature of the M80 is its adaptability. With the M80, one has the ability to retrofit add-on components or modules even after initial purchase. This gives customers the freedom to adapt to the changing demands in the marketplace, as well as seize new opportunities as they present themselves. For example, a 4-plate M80 with a standard slitter shaft could be upgraded to a 6-plate machine with a slitter shaft cassette in order to expand job capabilities and improve make-ready times. Additionally, the customer has the option to add automation or different modules even after initial purchase.

The M80 at Ipex 2014 will be equipped with an automated 4-plate base module, an R80 continuous feeder, KB80 Cross fold module, and the DB60 Three fold module.
