SC 23 UV Spot Coating Unit for Web Finishing

MBO’s New UV Spot Coater module, SC23, applies UV Coatings during the finishing process to enhance the tactile and/or visual appeal of the product. The coating can be applied to either side of the printed web and comes in a variety of repeat lengths. Based on the flexographic print process, easy to use photo-polymer plates “print” the coating on the web in register to the print. The integrated UV curing unit sets and cures the coating immediately after application, ready for handling without marking or blocking. Setup is quick and easy matching the needs of systems used with modern inkjet print systems. The unit can be optionally supplied as a portable unit, using a docking station system, allowing it to be located anywhere in the rollfed finishing line.
